Emotional Core: The Caverns of the Heart is a friendly and engaging therapeutic adventure game designed to help players improve their emotional understanding through collaborative tabletop role-playing. As you explore a guardian spirit's realm, each room stands for a different core feeling like anger, sadness, or fear, and you'll need to use social skills to get past obstacles. Characters have six key emotional stats and unique traits that can either help or challenge the group, depending on the mood of each area. The game uses a simple six-sided die system that rewards you with bonus points for practising real-life self-regulation tactics—things like naming your feelings or asking for support. By blending psychological growth with a touch of fantasy, it encourages players to turn emotional awareness into real in-game achievements. Plus, it naturally fosters empathy and understanding, as everyone works together to support each other through a variety of inner and outer challenges.
